Janice Lightbourn
In September 2008, Janice Lightbourn was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She wasn’t shocked or shaken. After all, cancer runs in the family. Her mother, brother, and aunt all had cancer. So she knew what she had to do. She had to get going and find the things she needed to make it through this devastating disease.

Magda Santos
Magda Santos has been an educator for almost 3 decades. She is the director for the USF Preschool for Creative Learning. Magda taught and administered programs in Head Start, public schools, corporate and university settings. She has presented at major educational conferences and authored several articles on reading and learning. She holds a Masters Degree from Columbia, Teachers College and sits on several advisory boards. She has served on the New York City NAEYC board of directors and as communications officer, she helped train and produce a cable television program for parents and teachers. While at Columbia she participated in the recruitment and retention of minority teachers. Magda has also completed a program in business coaching and social enterprise to keep herself on the cutting edge of administrative trends.
